This weekend...

We are going to

to see the

play the

spending hours in the freezing, freezing

But it's ok because afterwards we will eat

enjoy this

and this

and even try seeing one of these

and sleep in this

with none of these.

The woodland creatures will be cared for by

(note...not my real mom....)

who might go

but probably not, because we left her with lots of

and

and

and

and

(just kidding--sort of)

To everyone else not lucky enough to stand in the snow for a football game this weekend, have a good one anyway (and cheer for the Bronco's).....

You picked a perfect weekend! We just got a snowstorm last night and the Winter Wonderland is supposed to continue through the weekend--perhaps best of all is that it's only the mountains that saw snow (we're an hour West of Denver, live on top of a mountain and we only got an inch), and it was literally so hot in Denver today my husband couldn't buy frozen fruit at Costco over lunch for fear it would melt by the time he got home (not usually an issue this time of the year!). If you haven't already chosen a spa, check out www.tallgrassspa.com. It's in the town where I live (Evergreen) and is consistently rated the #1 spa in "Denver," it's a really amazing place. And if you haven't already determined where you'll stay, check out www.highlandhaven.com. Again, in Evergreen, LOVELY. We had our wedding after party here and spent the night with family and friends--it's a series of cabins, many have private hot tubs (some outside on your own private lawn!), and the included breakfast is out of this world. And Johnny Depp proposed to his wife there and stays there whenever he's in Colorado :). Have fun!

I am not jealous about the winter wonderland part of it, but I have never been to an NFL game, and I really need to. Also, the part about the no kids makes me REALLY jealous! XO Nellie

Have lots of fun. And, if possible, some really good sex. Is that possible when pregnant? I wouldn't know.

I hope you had a great time! You must post the details....(family friendly, of course).

What??? No one asked if Grandma survived?

Just for the record, Grandma's can do anything when all they have to do is play, hold, read, craft, color, bath, sleep and roll out food from a stocked fridge and cupboard. It was fantastic.. To bad I had such a horrible sore throat..probably shared it with the kids. Hope the weekend was worth it because next weekend might find everyone sick.

Lauren's bus stop moms, grandma's and nanny probably think that I am some crazy caregiver! I left 7 inches of snow and it was 50+ degress on arrival. We walked to the bus stop in a light sweater/sweatshirt etc.
EVERY person waiting for the school bus had on a puffy parka,or wool coat, gloves and warm hats. They thought I was crazy!!! Come on.... it was 50+ degrees and sunny!!!

That may not be what your mom looks like now, but when you pick up the kids later... I'm just saying.

Have a fabulous time! Go Broncos!

Duh, now that I read all the comments I realize you are already back.

I hope you had fun! I LOVE Denver--I lived there as a kid. Every Friday was "dress in Bronco colors" day. Or at least that is how I remember it.

I look forward to the day I actually meet you--you are amazing!
