Wahhhhh...

I know it has been donkey's years since I posted and I have lots to tell, some fun ER stories about Jacob (electrocution!! stitches!!!), Christmas, Norah talking, Lauren's new pet, etc...

Right now we are on our third day of rain. We were so smug b/c we didn't loose power. Then the septic tank backed up onto our newly refinished floors (as in three days ago). All the storm drains are backing up in the entire state (it feels like) and no one can use the toilets at our house.

Good times. And only 5 more days of rain to go....

I'll be back when it doesn't smell like poo anymore. ;-)

Ill leave you with this photo of us trying to snap the kids in their Christmas Jammies. These really were the best ones.....

You know Christmas isn't Christmas if someone or something doesn't smell like sewage...

your rain is our snow. it's a toss up as to what is worse. it sounds like in this case - it's the rain! Good luck!

Seriously... we were in the Bay Area for a visit with my parents and a detour at a wedding... the rain is ridiculous...enough already. ;-)

Our first six weeks in Lubbock were hell because of a collapsed sewer line in our getto appartment.

I love it. "I'm back! But not really! Because there's lots of poo!"

Story of our lives, huh?

Oh Bek, yuck. I can totally relate to the poo back ups (we really DO love our 1930's house! Just not the pipes so much)

My sister called about the rain. . .the whole town was shutting down! Crazy.

Wendysue... Her area got LOTS more rain than we did, initially. Then we got slammed. We are just unprepared to handle this much rain.......

Julie... I keep thinking that if I wait for less poo to start writing again it will never happen. I'll just wait until it isn't all over my floors and in backed up into every sink... ;-)

I am working on a post....

I love how you throw the word electrocution in there. Sounds like an awesome holiday!

That stinks! (pun intended)

The Christmas Jammies are cute, though!

designmom... sadly, there WAS an electrocution (before the stitches for after the vomiting...).

The sad part is that it doesn't even faze us anymore. THink a smaller, black Owen.....

Oh Bek, your life sure isn't boring!! I remember once in Russia where our kitchen sink backed up into our bathtub, we had spaghettio's in our tub. And I thought THAT was gross...at least it was contained in a tub, and it wasn't poo. Sorry things are so wet and stinky around there. Can't wait to hear all the Christmas Drama. And fun. That's awesome that No is talking. I tried to braid JJ's hair the other night while he was sleeping, it's not quite long enough. But it was fun to try. :)

Ah, so glad you're back! I was getting worried about you! I saw you post comments to my blog a couple times very recently so I started to feel like you were o.k., but still---- so glad to see this post. Glad you're o.k. (albeit schlopping in sewage). Yuck! Hope you're holding up o.k. w/ baby #4.

Wow. You are seriously the MOST unlucky person I know! You should get some kind of an award. But your kids are so darn cute!!
