Did you get a baby?.....Not a sausage!!

If you were reading the blog that I WISH I could write, you would be reading "Congratulations to Rebecca and Derek on the arrival of their son". Instead, the blog you will read will be more along the lines of "Congratulations Rebecca and Derek, you just flew to Chicago for the second time in two weeks to witness the birth of you son, but instead the labor stopped so you got to go home with NOTHING except a bill for the ER stay, the rental car and the hotel!!" Oh, and it was 105 degrees in Chicago.

I couldn't make up stuff this good.

A well meaning person in my ward the other day told me "you are so lucky, adopting is SO much easier then pregnancy.."

Don't you agree? :-)

Rebecca, holy cow! That is so much EASIER!! If it was me, I would be at the looney bin by now! (maybe you are, and you're just not telling us. . .) You definitely could write your own movie called "Million Dollar Babies!" Seriously though, Jacob and the new babe are so lucky to have you! Can't wait to see new pictures!!!

getting major payback from your children when they're older and you re-tell this story--PRICELESS

I'm sure I'm not even close on those prices. .. :)

Not exactly the ending I was expecting...not the "ending" at all, actually. The plot thickens! Oh, the suspense! Are you sure you're not making this up?

Was that person in your ward my MIL, by any chance? :)

I'll take the weight gain, crazy hormone mood swings, tiredness, etc over what you've gone through, thanks. You are my hero!

Hey Bek. I'm here now on this crazy blog thing.

Hopefully by checking this, I'll finally be up to date on the happenings of the Bingham family...

I can't wait to come home this weekend and see all the sprouts. Last time Lulu was here, I was one of the favorites. I guess absence does make the heart grow fonder...much better than the days when she'd run screaming from me. :)

I can't believe you're doing all of this and paying for it! Can I join in the baby fund? I mean as a recipient, of course...

Carrie,

I would love to GIVE you this baby (seriously--I can't have two under the age of one), but we better keep him. :-) Actually, before we decided to adopt him, we WERE looking for someone who might want to do it, but would be willing to stay in touch with US so the boys could know each other.

If you or anyone you know has ANY questions about adoption as an option for their family, give me a jingle. Keep in mind that ours is a "worse case scenerio". They aren't all this long and expensive. I have lots of info and contacts (especially in Utah) and have people who have done it both ways, like us. We have used an agency, a lawyer/facilitator and private. We are to adoption like you are to what kind of socks to wear and when. Sad for me, but true.

E mail me already and let me know what is happening with you! Love the pictures of you that I have seen on Suzi's website. You are as hip and pretty as ever.
