We are home!!!

Whew,

We spent 10 days in Utah. I drove the kids out by myself (an adventure...but not because of the kids). I met lots of blog friends and took TONS of pictures. Thanks to all who helped out. I am editing like crazy and should have them all up in the next few days.

In the grand tradition of having drama come to us in spades...here is a quick recap of the last week. We got stuck in a blizzard coming over Donner's (yes, in April) and rushed straight to the ER, where Lulu was diagnosed with pneumonia. We had a birth mother on deck that was planning on placing her baby with us, the baby was due today and she had it yesterday, at the last minute she decided to parent (such a familiar story now). This was one more "sure thing" (the birthmom was 12, birthdad 13..the state was going to take the baby away..at the last minute her step parents decided to take custody). That was sad. At least this time we found out she decided to parent BEFORE we flew out.

I will fill in the details in a few days--after the pneumonia goes away.

Soon, soon, soon.....

Glad you're home safe - even with all the drama!

I'm glad you made it home safely. I'm sorry to hear about the baby. Amen to Tracy: drama sucks! Hope the pneumonia goes away quick!

I was HOPPY to see you and your cute family just a few days ago! Looking forward to the pics you took. Tell your daughter that our super-power-glitter-girl-shoes are my favorite; especially now that I know she has some too ;o)

Happy you are back, and that is WAY to much to be happening in a 10 day period!! I hope Lulu is on the mend soon. We go over Donner Pass whenever we go skiing with my sis/bro-in-law at the cabin. We always end up talking about the unfortunate adventures of the Donner Party.

And can I just say 12??? and 13???? Help me, help me, help me!!

ImSewfunny, Lulu asked me after we left if we :could go play with Shannon sometime". ;-)

Those are her favorite shoes. You are both stylish ladies.

I almost have all the pictures edited and up. The minute that is done the stoies will begin. Most of them make me look like a big idiot, but I will sacrifice my pride for the sake of entertainment.

Oh the baby... brings back a memory for me. I tutor a 13 yr year old who just had a baby and is keeping him... her bf is 14, and here we are (hubby & I) trying harder than anything. Oh well. Well wishes for the sick little one.
