Lauren Friday....
This kid has been saying blog-worthy stuff all week, here are a few before I forget...
--Upon walking in the room while I had "The View" on the television (THE dumbest show ever, but I know that when The View comes on it is time to walk to the bus stop...) she saw Toni Braxton, who was guest hosting, and commented "Look Mom, Oprah got new hair".....
--Lauren was driving with me in the car and I was trying to explain to Lauren what an apartment is (since she has lived in one her entire life, I don't know why she was confused...). We were talking about how someday we might buy a house but if we ever moved back to New York we would have to live in an apartment...but really, really tall ones that don't have small yards on the back. I asked her which she would rather have. "New York Mom, we should live there. There are LOTS of sweepstakes there. Some of them even have thousands of back up prizes".... New York it is.
--This is the best one. Our daddy has been pretty much gone for two weeks and I am beyond grumpy by the time 6 o clock rolls around. Last night she excused herself from dinner and asked if she could do a surprise in my room. About an hour later she came downstairs and escorted me upstairs.

Awwww...What a sweet dd!
Wow! What an awesome, thoughtful, kind little chick-a-dee!!
I have weights in my room, too...
What a cutie pie. Bless her cotton socks.
Take care xx
What a sweetheart!
What a sweetie! I love it when my kids do such thoughtful things for me- it's like they know you are stressed and they try to find someway to help out! So cute!
Oh my gosh!!! What a riot (the clothes laid out on the bed!!!), and... she got out her CAMERA to capture your reaction---- this is just so darling. Thanks for sharing. She needs to teach my boys a few things!!!! ;0

OH Lauren! What a sweetheart! You knew that role-playing Cinderella was going to pay off in the longrun!? :0)
SO DARLING!
Girl, we have a massive treadmill in ours. I find that the big, black, plastic monstrosity really goes with my periwinkle-blue-monochromatic design.
That is the sweetest!
I think I would cry if my daughter ever did something that sweet. Give Lauren a hug for me!!
Too cute--and how sweet!
Taking a wild gander here... ;-) but I gather she learned thoughfulness from you. Such a sweetie-pie. How long until I get this?? ;-)
My friend has a full on weight circuit in her room... a la her husband too.
I hate to disappoint you all, but this was a one off.... she has never done anything like this before...but I am hoping to give her incentive to do it in the future!!!
6 has been interesting for her. She is growing up (in good and bad ways). Empathy has arrived...but so has sarcasm and fibbing.... what can you do?
Okay, can Lauren come over to my house? We love surprises around here.
your kid cleans??????
can we trade?
Funny, I never would have associated New York with sweepstakes and prizes.
Wow! How sweet is she?!? I love that she had her camera ready. So maybe when my girls are older a surprise will be a good thing? :)
Oh, I have one of those "Total Gyms" in my family room and an elliptical machine stuck in a corner of my dining room....
Your daughter has much better taste in clothes than mine! Sometimes I let my two year old have her wish and dress me. I usually end up decked out with my bras draped all over my arms, her dad's tie around my neck and socks (yes, on my feet). I keep trying to explain the underwear thing to her...
