It is my sad duty to inform you that Fairy Lou, the fish who lived, has now passed away thus proving the fact that if you talk about something really cool...the opposite will immediately happen. I as much as cursed her by telling the story. Sadly, it is for real this time (I think, but you can be sure that I didn't do ANYTHING for at least a day). She is currently waiting for her coffin to be made so she can be buried....there will be no flushing of this fish according to my daughter. I did compromise on the coffin because she wanted to to keep the fish in the water in the tank it so she "could look at Fairly Lou anytime".

Ummm, no.

Poor poor Fairy Lou. We brought her back just to kill her again. Sheesh.

Oh, poor, poor fishie. I will say that this now reminds me of the best fish funeral ever. It's from the Cosby show. Did you see it? When Rudy's fish dies and they have a full service funeral in the bathroom? The best is when Vanessa walks in wearing her leotard and tights, saying, "well, it's the only thing I had that was all black." It's a classic.

Sorry about Fairy Lou. . .does this mean you're off the hook (hah, hah), on getting a look-a-like fish?? Now maybe a stuffed fish would be a good option?

That episode is fabulous. Especially because right in the middle of the Eulogy Rudy breaks in and says "I have to go to the bathroom" and the funeral is over.

Tell her that when you flush her, the fish fairy comes and brings you a polly pocket. She will not need a coffin anymore.

Also, Rudy's fish was named LaMont. Why do I know this?

I love her name! Fairy Lou! That is adorable.

Today my 7-year-old had a friend over, and the friend told my son that his cat got sick. As we recently endured a kitty death at our house, my son asked if the cat died. "No," the kid said, "it went to live with the doctor's family."

Good luck on the fishy funeral.

La Yen, I can not stop laughing now. . .I need to find that episode. . .fast!

Bek, how's the coffin coming? I think we may need to see pictures of it.

I love it...the cat went to live with the dr's family. That is the best one I have heard

The coffin...well, it is supposed to be a daddy thing..but it hasn't happened yet. I am going to have to turn into nagging wife today. Grrr.

I'll take a picture of the funeral. Maybe I can find that episode of the Cosby Show....you know how they show a movie at baptisms sometimes????

Episode #2 of season 1. My other favorite part is when Vanessa says, as part of LaMont's eulogy "I always felt safer with him around."

Loved that Cosby show episode. Sorry about your fish. How 'bout burying her in an empty tuna can?

That would be ironic. Acutally we buried her in an jello box....that lauren decorated with fish.

I'll have pictures up in a few days.
