It's in the air...

There is nothing better than springtime in my house. As I sit here in the kitchen I can smell the honeysuckle and jasmine on soft breeze that comes through the door. Ahhh. Spring. There is nowhere on earth better then right here in the spring.

Part 3 of the Fairy Lu story (oh, and BTW...Derek thinks it is Lu and not Lou) is coming up. It is called "Fairy L(o)u, the Funeral"

Also, the 8th person in three days just told me she is going to have a baby (all first babies). They are all due in the same week of December/January. It really IS in the air. One of those people is my sister in law. Yipppeee. I am blessed with wonderful nieces and nephews on my side, but this is the first on Derek's side. The best part is that they live right here. We are so happy for our kids to have cousins that live close by. Congratulations to all the expecting mammas.

P.S. I am supposed to do that 7's thing..I am working on it.

What's the 7s thing?

And how many people do you know? 8 first time pregnancies, wow! Whatever was in the air must've been off the hook....

Wow, a comment from Cyndi..aunt Nie Nie (another preggo...but due in a few weeks). Howdy. never hear from you any more.

Erin is the one that is expecting. She is only 9 weeks and pretty sick. If it is a boy I will have you send all those boy clothes back. :-) BTW, Lu will be bringing a big suit case for baby X and another to be passed along to Phoebe.

Fizzle...I know lots and lots of people. It is one of the benefits of living in an area where no one can afford do stay. They move into an apartment for a few years and a few kids then move away to be replaced by NEW people who stay a few years and a few kids.....thus the circle expands.

I blame the Reuben bites at Max's..where we have been having girls night forever. I should have had TWO helpings.....

OH, I can smell the Jasmine- seems like so many people are writing about home right now, it am SOOO homesick! I told DH that I AM NOT staying up here in the cold northwest forever... I don't know exactly what that means, but my next (or next) home better be able to support jasmine, a lemon tree and rosemary, none of which can survive outside up here. And I'm not even open for discussion on it!

BTW, I'll be down Aug 16-Sept 5, so keep some room on your callendar- we are taking the Monkeys to Disneyland for their birthdays, but that's only four days worth and the end of the month.

Yea! Borrowed baby clothes. This boy will be well dressed after all!

BTW Lulu has left two very long, very cute, very rambling messages on my phone telling us how excited she is to come and see us. We may just keep her. She makes a great babysitter for Samuel...

Cynj...she is yours!

Tracy...I am planning on it. I keep meaning to send you these clothes before Abby gets too big for them....but I am kind of lazy.

Since I am actually posting today, I may just go for a record number, but...
Speaking of babies. You know how today's date is 6/6/06? Yesterday my doctor told me that one of her patients chose to be scheduled for an induction today because of the date and is going to name her baby Damien (and yes, she knows what the name means. That's why she picked it. I asked.) Anyone else think that is a little messed up? Anyone else think she is asking for it when he turns about 18 months old?

I did know the 666 thing...my kid doesn't have to be born on 666 to have his/her own special moments of evil.......

That kid is going to get Omen jokes for the rest of his life...poor thing

My kid is nowhere near 666, but he put Damien to shame today...

By the way, I'll take some of those curry recipes you were talking about at MMW- I love Indian food but havn't had much luck making it at home.

Sweet..Tracy I will give you the recipies in the next few days. Also, I am going to be in England in a few weeks and can stock up on the curry paste for you if you want. It is about 3$$ Add some Trader Joes Nan bread and VOILA!!!!
